Faculty Club Leuven
Faculty Club is a fine-dining address in the Great Beguinage of Leuven, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most unique locations in Flanders. The restaurant is housed in carefully restored historic buildings and serves a refined, seasonal cuisine with a focus on local produce and a balanced wine list. Guests can choose between an intimate dining room, a festive salon or, during the warmer months, a terrace on the inner courtyard.
Despite the historic setting, significant attention has been given to accessibility. The main entrance is step-free via a gentle ramp. The ground-floor dining rooms are spaciously arranged and suitable for wheelchairs, and an adapted toilet is provided with grab bars and sufficient manoeuvring space. The staff are experienced with guests who have reduced mobility and can on request make room for electric wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
The Great Beguinage is mostly cobbled, which can be challenging for wheelchair users in the immediate vicinity of Faculty Club. The main route to the restaurant, however, is partly paved with level tiles. Private parking, including reserved spaces, is available right next to the entrance. From Leuven station the venue can be reached in about ten minutes by adapted taxi or via bus lines 3 and 4.
