Hotel 't Speelhof Sint-Truiden
Hotel 't Speelhof is housed in a restored square farmstead in the green outskirts of Sint-Truiden, a short distance from the Grote Markt and the belfry. The hotel combines rustic rural charm with contemporary comfort and caters to weekend guests wishing to explore Haspengouw. Breakfast is served in a bright dining room with a view of the courtyard and the orchards.
On the ground floor there is an adapted room with wide doorways, a walk-in shower with fold-down seat and grab rails. The main entrance is step-free via a gentle ramp from the parking area. The courtyard is partly paved with historic cobbles; on arrival, the staff show you a flat route to the room. The breakfast room, the terrace and the accessible toilet are all on ground level.
Reserved parking spaces are right in front of the hotel on a paved car park. The centre of Sint-Truiden with the basilica, the town hall and the accessible hospitality around the Grote Markt is easily reachable. In spring, the surroundings are a fine base for the blossom routes in Haspengouw, several of which have paved, wheelchair-friendly variants.
