La Bruxelloise Namur
La Bruxelloise is a cosy brasserie in the heart of Namur, within walking distance of Saint-Aubain Cathedral and the Sambre. It serves classic Belgian dishes with a Brussels touch: beef stew with fries, mussels in season, eel in green sauce and grilled fish. The interior radiates a warm brasserie feel with dark wood, mirrors, white linen tablecloths and a cosy bar area offering a nice selection of Belgian beers.
Accessibility is well organised. The main entrance is step-free via a gentle ramp and wide enough for wheelchairs. The ground-floor dining room is spaciously arranged with enough manoeuvring space between the tables. There is an adapted toilet with grab bars and sufficient turning space. The staff are trained to welcome guests with reduced mobility comfortably and to offer support where needed.
The brasserie sits in a largely pedestrian-friendly part of central Namur. The pavements around the venue are paved and level. Adapted parking spaces are available in the nearby underground car park beneath Place d'Armes, which is equipped with a lift. Namur station is about ten minutes' walk away along a paved, partly sloping route.
