Van der Valk Hotel Mechelen is a remarkable four-star hotel at Rode Kruisplein 1-4 in Mechelen, housed in the monumental building that served as the municipal swimming pool den Ouwen Dok from 1924 to 2001. The hotel opened in November 2019 and has beautifully preserved the original architectural elements: the large swimming pool has been transformed into an atmospheric pond in the lobby.
