Bibliothèque communale Soignies
The Bibliothèque communale of Soignies (Zinnik in Dutch) is a modern municipal facility with an extensive French-language collection of books, comics, magazines, films and digital resources. Soignies is a historic town in Hainaut province, known for the Romanesque Collégiale Saint-Vincent (10th-11th century) — one of the oldest religious buildings in Wallonia. The library works closely with schools and associations across the wider region.
The library is easily accessible to wheelchair users. The entrance is step-free and the aisles between the shelves are wide. A lift connects the floors so that every collection is reachable. An accessible toilet is available and staff are happy to help with books on higher shelves.
Reserved parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity. Combine your visit with the Hôtel de Ville or the Parc communal within walking distance.
