Restaurant Le Coq aux Champs Soignies
Le Coq aux Champs is an elegant restaurant in the green surroundings of Soignies in Hainaut. The cuisine is regional and strongly seasonal, with dishes built around game in winter, asparagus and young vegetables in spring, and grilled specialities during summer. A spacious terrace overlooks a carefully designed garden that forms part of the experience.
The restaurant was deliberately made accessible. The main entrance is step-free and leads straight to the ground-floor dining room. Wide passages between the tables make independent manoeuvring possible. An adapted toilet with full turning space, grab rails and a wide access door is on the same floor. The terrace is reachable via a level transition and a wide double door.
The restaurant has its own car park with reserved adapted spaces close to the entrance. Soignies is reachable via the N6 from Brussels and Mons. Soignies railway station is about fifteen minutes' drive away; from there an accessible taxi service is available. For visitors planning a longer trip, the restaurant is a pleasant stop between Brussels and Mons.
