The municipal library of Waterloo is a busy public facility with a broad collection of French- and English-language books, comics, children's literature, magazines and digital resources. It organises storytelling sessions, reading clubs, language workshops and lectures, and works closely with the local schools.

The building is fully accessible. The entrance is step-free with an automatic door, a lift connects the floors and the shelves are set wide apart. Adapted workstations with a computer are available, and an accessible toilet is provided on the ground floor.

Reserved parking spaces are available near the library. It is located in the centre of Waterloo, within walking distance of the town hall and the shopping streets, and is easy to reach by bus.
