Centre des Arts Vivants Genappe
The Centre des Arts Vivants is the beating cultural heart of Genappe and programmes theatre, concerts, dance, lectures and exhibitions throughout the year. The centre targets both a broad family audience and connoisseurs of contemporary performing arts, and works closely with schools and local associations. The buildings were designed to provide, in addition to a professional theatre hall, space for workshops and rehearsal rooms.
Accessibility is well organised. The main entrance is at ground level, and the building has a lift connecting all public floors. The theatre hall has fixed seats reserved for wheelchair users, with a clear view of the stage and easy access from the foyer. Adapted toilets and an adapted reception desk make the visit comfortable for everyone.
There is a spacious car park with PMR spaces in front of the building, and the centre is just minutes from the Parc de la Source and the centre of Genappe. For specific performances, it is advisable to mention when booking that a wheelchair space is needed, so that staff can prepare seating optimally.
