Domein Beverbeek Hamont
Domein Beverbeek in Hamont-Achel is a quiet recreational area with ponds, woods and open meadows, set in the green heart of northern Limburg. The estate is a favourite destination for families, walkers and nature lovers, with play equipment, a dog meadow and numerous picnic spots. The ponds attract waterbirds, and in spring wild flowers colour the meadows.
A central walking route with a paved path runs around the ponds and through the wooded zones of the estate. The path is wide enough for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and prams, and offers easy passage without steep gradients. An accessible toilet with support bars and ample turning space is available at the central reception, and several benches and adapted picnic tables are distributed along the route.
The car park offers several accessible parking spaces close to the main entrance, with a fully paved connection to the path network. Access to the estate is free and possible from sunrise to sunset. The playground has some inclusive play equipment, so children with mobility restrictions can join in. Accessible bus stops with low-floor buses lie within short distance.
