City Park Beringen
The City Park of Beringen is a green space in the city — a pleasant place for a short walk, a picnic or to sit quietly in the greenery. The park has trees, lawns, flower beds and benches spread across the grounds. Families and walkers from the neighbourhood like to use the park as a meeting place.
The main paths are paved and easily accessible for wheelchair users. Some side paths are semi-paved and can be less comfortable after rain — stick to the main route for the best experience. There are benches at regular intervals along the walking route and the slopes in the park are gentle.
Public parking with reserved spaces is available in the immediate vicinity. A public toilet is not necessarily available in the park itself — plan a toilet stop at nearby cafés or the Town Hall during opening hours. Combine with the Public Library for an afternoon in Beringen, or the mining heritage domain De Kolonie just outside the centre for a more extensive visit.
