The Musée du Malgré-Tout in Treignes is a fascinating archaeological museum highlighting the prehistory and early history of the Viroin valley in the province of Namur. The museum presents archaeological finds from excavations in the region, from prehistoric tools to Gallo-Roman objects, and organises two temporary exhibitions each year. Outside, the museum has a Prehistory Park where visitors can learn about prehistoric building techniques and ways of life.

Accessibility at the museum is good. All museum buildings are accessible to persons with reduced mobility. The permanent collection and temporary exhibitions are accessible to wheelchair users. The museum also welcomes visitors with visual or intellectual disabilities and offers adapted activities. Parking spaces are available near the museum and adapted toilets are provided.

The Musée du Malgré-Tout is located in Treignes, a picturesque village also known as the Village of Museums, home to four other museums. Treignes is accessible via the N99 from Couvin or Philippeville. A visit to the museum combines perfectly with an exploration of the other museums in the village and a walk along the Viroin river in the beautiful Fagne-Famenne landscape.
