Parc de la Dodaine Nivelles
The Parc de la Dodaine is the historic city park of Nivelles — a pleasant green space with trees, lawns, flower beds and a pond. The park is a popular meeting place for families and walkers, and offers a quiet counterpoint to the historic Nivelles centre with its Romanesque Collégiale Sainte-Gertrude.
The main paths are paved and easy to access for wheelchair users. Some side paths are semi-paved and can be less comfortable after rain — stick to the main route for the best experience. Benches are placed regularly along the walking route and the slopes in the park are gentle.
Public parking with reserved spaces is available in the immediate vicinity. A public toilet is not necessarily available in the park itself — plan a toilet stop at nearby cafés or the Hôtel de Ville during opening hours. Combine your visit with the Bibliothèque publique or the Collégiale Sainte-Gertrude.
