The Park of Forest, or Parc de Forest, is one of the largest green spaces in the southern municipalities of Brussels. The sprawling park was laid out at the end of the nineteenth century in a typical English landscape style, with large lawns, monumental trees, ponds and winding walking paths. The park is a much-loved place to unwind for the residents of Forest and Saint-Gilles, with plenty of joggers, dog owners and families making use of it. It is also part of the Senne corridor and plays an important ecological role in the south of the Brussels Region.

Accessibility is partial because the park sits on rolling ground. The main paths in the lower sections are wide, paved and easy for a wheelchair; in the higher parts they become steeper and assistance is helpful. Benches are provided in several places to take a break during the climb or descent. Accessible toilets are not permanently present in the park; the cafes on the edge can sometimes offer an alternative.

Parking on the streets around the park is possible but heavily used; trams and buses stop at several entrances and most stops have lowered platforms. The entrance on Avenue du Globe is a good starting point for those looking for a flatter route. Combine a walk with a terrace break at one of the cafes along Avenue Albert.
