The Wine Bar des Marolles is a cosy French wine bar and bistro in the heart of the Marolles, the working-class district below the Grand Place. It has an extensive wine list focused on small French and Belgian producers and a short bistro menu with classics such as steak tartare, charcuterie and seasonal soup. The atmosphere is homely, with wooden tables, a bar at the front and a lively neighbourhood feel.

The entrance is step-free at street level, with a wide door giving space to a wheelchair or mobility scooter. The ground-floor dining room is on one level without steps. The tables at the front are spaced generously, and the staff are happy to help find a suitable spot. The toilet is on the upper floor and only reachable via a staircase; there is no accessible toilet in the restaurant itself. The city council provides an accessible public toilet at Place du Jeu de Balle, a short distance away.

The Marolles is partly cobbled, but much of rue Haute has been redeveloped with smooth natural stone. Reserved parking spaces can be found at Porte de Hal and in Parking Poelaert. By bus or metro Louise or Porte de Hal, the restaurant is ten minutes' push away, partly on a slope.
