The Prehistomuseum in Flemalle, near Liege, is a unique interactive museum that brings prehistory to life on a 30-hectare wooded estate. The museum combines indoor exhibitions with outdoor activities, taking visitors from the Neanderthal era through to the Iron Age. You can experience experimental archaeology, try out prehistoric techniques and walk through reconstructed settlements in the forest.

The Prehistomuseum holds Access-i certification, meaning its accessibility has been professionally assessed and approved. All main buildings are wheelchair accessible via ramps or lifts. Adapted toilets are available at the visitor centre. The outdoor paths running through the wooded estate are paved and offer a comfortable route past the various activity zones. Not all outdoor activities are suitable for wheelchair users, but the vast majority of the museum is well accessible.

The museum is located near the Ramioul cave in the Meuse valley and can be reached via the E25. A spacious car park with PMR spaces is situated right next to the entrance. The museum is an excellent destination for a day trip, especially for families with children. The combination of nature, culture and hands-on experiences makes the Prehistomuseum one of the most remarkable museum experiences in Wallonia.
