♿ Wheelchair accessible

Rock Werchter is Belgium's iconic flagship festival, held annually in Werchter (Rotselaar) since 1976. The festival welcomes 88,000 visitors per day and is internationally recognised as one of the best rock festivals in Europe. Accessibility has improved substantially since the 2010s with a dedicated accessibility offer coordinated by Live Nation Belgium (the organiser).

The accessibility facilities include an accessibility platform on all main stages — Main Stage, The Barn and Klub C — with good views and dedicated access control. For those staying the whole weekend, an adapted camping zone is available with its own sanitary facilities and separate access. The request for a free companion ticket goes via email to info@rockwerchter.be with your disability attestation, at least 2 months in advance.

Adapted transport to the site is well organised: low-floor shuttle buses run from Leuven station and Werchter station up to the adapted entrance. For those arriving by car: accessible parking is on site itself with adapted spots closer to the adapted entrance. The Rock Werchter site is large (40 ha) — for those wanting to move around independently a lot, a light electric scooter is a major advantage over a manual wheelchair.

The semi-paved paths between the stages can be uncomfortable after rain — bring buggy tyres or a wheelchair cover for when the weather turns. Adapted sanitary facilities are spread across multiple locations; at arrival ask at the info desk for the accessible toilet map for your weekend.

For a hotel stay instead of camping, an adapted room at Martin's Klooster Leuven or Holiday Inn Mechelen is a good base within driving distance. Optionally combine with a Leuven city trip before and/or after the festival.
