Sportoase Lago Hasselt Kapermolen

Sportoase Lago Hasselt Kapermolen is a modern swimming pool complex in the Kapermolenpark, within walking distance of the city centre. The centre combines a 25-metre competition pool, an instruction pool, a recreation pool with slides, a toddler pool and wellness facilities. In addition to free swimming, the complex organises swimming lessons, aquagym and adapted swimming sessions for people with disabilities. It is a popular destination for families, athletes and rehabilitation patients.

The pool is built completely step-free. Pool lifts are available at every basin to lower swimmers comfortably into the water. The changing rooms include spacious adapted cubicles with grab bars, fold-down shower seats and adapted lockers. An accessible toilet is available on every level. The circulation areas are wide and non-slip, and the staff are trained to assist visitors with disabilities. Adapted-sports clubs make regular use of the complex.

Accessible parking spaces are located right in front of the entrance and in the covered car park. The complex is reachable by accessible city bus from the centre of Hasselt and the railway station is about a ten-minute drive away. A visit combines well with a wheelchair-friendly walk in the Kapermolenpark or the Japanese Garden of Hasselt.
