Stadspark Lier
The City Park of Lier is an atmospheric green area along the banks of the Nete river, a stone's throw from the city centre. The park offers shady walking paths, a pond, flower beds, and a playground. Its location along the Nete gives the park a special character, with beautiful views over the water. It is a popular spot for a quiet walk or a moment of relaxation in the greenery.
The paths in the City Park are largely paved and flat, making the park well accessible for wheelchair users. The entrances are step-free and wide. There are plenty of benches along the paths for resting and enjoying the surroundings. A public toilet is available near the park, though full wheelchair accessibility is not always guaranteed.
The park is within walking distance of the Grote Markt and the Zimmerplein. Accessible parking spaces can be found in the surrounding streets. Lier train station is a short distance away. The City Park is a pleasant destination for a relaxed stroll and can be combined excellently with a visit to the centre of Lier.
