De Merode Park in Mol is a charming town park in the landscape style, laid out around a central pond. The park is one of the oldest green spaces in Mol and bears witness to the aristocratic land design of the 19th century. Today it is a much-loved spot for walking, picnicking and small open-air events that the municipality regularly organises here. The mature beeches, oaks and chestnuts give the park a stately atmosphere.

All main paths in De Merode Park are paved and entirely level, which makes them excellent for wheelchair or rollator use. The loop around the central pond is around 800 metres and offers fine views of the water and the pavilion on the far side. Benches at adapted heights are placed at regular intervals, and on the sunny eastern side there are picnic tables that can also be approached with a wheelchair.

At the north entrance on Corbiestraat there is a municipal car park with two disabled spaces on a paved surface. The entrance is step-free and wide. There is no permanent accessible toilet in the park itself, but the tourist information office on the Markt has accessible facilities ten minutes away by wheelchair. During open-air events, mobile accessible toilets are set up.

De Merode Park is an ideal stop while exploring the centre of Mol. Combine a walk in the park with a visit to the Jacob Smits Museum Mol or the Cultural Centre 't Getouw Mol, and round off with a drink at one of the terraces on the Markt. For more nature, the Zilvermeer Mol is just a few minutes' drive away and offers even more wheelchair-friendly walking infrastructure.
