Kempense Taverne in Mol is an atmospheric brasserie that has been a fixture for decades for both locals and tourists exploring the Kempen. The interior is rural and warm, with wooden beams, old zinc tables and a cosy open fireplace that burns in the cold season. The menu features typical Kempen dishes such as rabbit with prunes, eel in green sauce and game varieties in the hunting season. The beer list is extensive and focuses on Kempen and Flemish breweries.

The tavern was specifically made accessible during a renovation. The main entrance is step-free and wide enough for electric wheelchairs. The dining room is entirely on the ground floor, and a spacious accessible toilet with all necessary features is provided. The terrace, which is extended in the summer, is reachable via a flat transition and has a solid wooden floor.

Kempense Taverne has its own car park with two PRM spaces right next to the entrance. The tavern is in a quiet street near the centre of Mol, a short distance from the Zilvermeer and the Jakob Smits Museum. The surroundings are mostly flat and offer excellent wheelchair-friendly walking opportunities along the Kempen heath and woodland.
