Brasserie 't Begijnhof Turnhout
Brasserie 't Begijnhof sits next to the historic Beguinage of Turnhout, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and serves authentic Flemish and regional Kempen dishes. The menu features classics such as beef stew, braised rabbit with prunes, eel in green sauce and homemade vol-au-vent. In summer, the terrace overlooking the Beguinage is particularly picturesque. The interior combines classic wooden elements with a homely atmosphere.
The entrance has a small threshold that can be crossed with assistance, and staff are happy to help with access. The dining room on the ground floor is largely accessible with adaptable furniture that can be moved. The toilet is partially adapted with a wider cubicle and grab bars, but is not fully equipped for disabled users. For a fully adapted toilet you can use the nearby Beguinage Museum.
Parking is at Parking Begijnenstraat or Parking Warandestraat, both with disabled spaces. The immediate surroundings of the Beguinage have some cobbled sections that can be crossed with some effort, but flat approach routes are provided. Combine your visit with a roll through the Beguinage itself, which is largely accessible via adapted paths.
