Brussels South Station (Bruxelles-Midi / Brussel-Zuid) is the largest and busiest railway station in Belgium and the international heart of the country's rail network. It is home to Thalys, Eurostar, TGV and ICE services, with direct connections to Paris, London, Amsterdam and Cologne. In addition, the station is a hub for national trains, metro, tram and bus.

The station is largely wheelchair-accessible. All platforms are reachable via lifts and there are automatic sliding doors at the main entrances. Adapted toilets are located in the central hall. The SNCB/NMBS Assistance service offers free support to travellers with reduced mobility, provided a reservation is made at least three hours in advance via 02 528 28 28 or the online form. There is a dedicated reception area for reduced-mobility travellers at platform 2.

In the immediate vicinity, adapted parking spaces are available in the underground car park and along Fonsnylaan. The Zuidstation/Gare du Midi metro station (lines 2 and 6) is fully accessible with lifts. Given the bustle in and around the station, it is wise to allow plenty of time and to keep an eye on your belongings.
