Brasserie François Brussels
Brasserie François is an iconic fish brasserie on Place Sainte-Catherine in Brussels, a fixture of the capital's gastronomic landscape since the late nineteenth century. The kitchen focuses on classic Belgian fish and shellfish dishes such as rolled sole, sole meunière, moules marinière and Zeeland oysters, served in an atmospheric dining room with art-deco accents.
The main entrance is step-free through a wide door, and the dining room is on the ground floor without thresholds. The table layout has been carefully chosen to provide enough through-room so wheelchair users can move around easily. An accessible toilet with grab rails and enough turning room is on the same level as the dining room.
Place Sainte-Catherine, in front of the restaurant, is a quiet paved square, ideal for a stroll before or after eating. Accessible parking spaces are available in the public Sainte-Catherine car park, a few minutes by wheelchair. Sainte-Catherine metro station is nearby but not fully accessible; Bourse station with a lift is the recommended stop.
