Cafe Le Commerce is a typical Walloon village cafe on the main market square of Jodoigne, run by the same family for three generations. It is a meeting place for the local population and offers a wide selection of Walloon and Brabant beers, coffee and simple snacks. The interior has a traditional feel with wooden panelling, a central counter and tall windows looking out onto the square; in summer, the terrace on the market becomes popular with anyone wanting to watch town life go by.

Accessibility is limited by the historic character of the building. The entrance has a threshold of about four centimetres; the operator places a portable ramp on request. The interior is at ground level but relatively cramped, especially during busy periods. The toilet is at the bottom of a staircase and not reachable by wheelchair. The staff are warm and attentive to guests with reduced mobility.

Parking on the market square is free but limited, with a few adapted spaces opposite. The market area is largely paved but contains a few cobbled stretches. For a sanitary stop during a walk, a detour to the public toilets in the town hall, a hundred metres away, is recommended.
