Brasserie La Court'Echelle Louvain-la-Neuve
La Court'Echelle is a lively brasserie in the heart of Louvain-la-Neuve, just metres from the Place de l'Universite and the Esplanade. The establishment is popular with students, professors and visitors to the Halles universitaires, offering a menu of classic brasserie dishes such as Ardennes salads, vol-au-vent and steaks frites, accompanied by regional beers including the local St. Feuillien and Chimay.
The brasserie is fully step-free. The street-side main entrance has sliding doors and no threshold. The dining room is spacious, brightly lit and offers ample passage between the tables for a wheelchair. The covered terrace is at ground level with sturdy paving. An adapted toilet with grab bars and turning space is provided at the rear, accessible via a flat hallway.
Louvain-la-Neuve is a car-free pedestrian town built on a concrete slab above the underground car parks, which makes it exceptionally step-free and pleasant to visit. The underground car park directly beneath the Esplanade has adapted spaces with lifts that lead straight up to the brasserie's doorstep. LLN station is five minutes away and is accessible via a ramp.
