Hotel The Dominican Brussels is a stylish design hotel housed in a former Dominican monastery in the centre of Brussels, close to the Royal Theatre La Monnaie and the Grand Place. The architects respectfully linked the historic cloisters, chapel and courtyard with a contemporary interior of dark wood, marble and dark-green accents. The hotel has a busy grand café, a wellness and fitness area and an atrium where cultural events are held regularly.

Despite the historical context, the hotel has been designed to be particularly accessible. The main entrance is step-free, and a wide lift provides access to all floors. Several adapted rooms are available, specifically fitted with a wide walk-in shower with fold-down seat, grab rails at the toilet, a lowered washbasin and ample manoeuvring room next to the bed. The courtyard with terrace is reachable via a flat transition. The grand café, the bar and the fitness area are all step-free.

The hotel has a private car park with several PRM spaces. The immediate surroundings, including Place de la Monnaie and the shopping streets around rue Neuve, are mostly modern and largely flat. De Brouckère metro stop, 200 metres away, is equipped with a lift. The Dominican is an excellent base for a cultural weekend in Brussels, with most major museums within wheelchair-friendly distance.
