Improvisio Leuven
Improvisio is a young and ambitious restaurant in Leuven working with a weekly rotating surprise menu. The chef draws inspiration from Belgian and French cuisine and plays with the availability of seasonal produce. The interior is modern and understated, with warm accents and an open kitchen that shares the theatre of the cooking process with the guest.
The main entrance is step-free thanks to a folding ramp kept ready during service. The dining room is entirely on the ground floor with comfortable distances between the tables and room to position a wheelchair at the table without obstructing the flow. There is an adapted toilet with enough turning space and grab rails. Front-of-house staff are trained to accommodate specific needs discreetly.
The restaurant is within walking distance of Leuven's Grote Markt. You can park at Parking Ladeuze or Parking Sint-Jacob, both with lifts and adapted spaces. The route from the car parks is paved and mostly level, with some stretches of smooth cobbles that can be negotiated without difficulty in a standard wheelchair.
