♿ Wheelchair accessible

Restaurant Ezeltje Knijnegem is a cosy bistro in the centre of Leuven, within walking distance of the City Hall and the Oude Markt. The menu is limited but well curated, with a daily fresh suggestion, classics such as Leuven beef stew with Trappist beer, and a rotation of seasonal dishes. The restaurant has an informal, homely atmosphere and is a popular address for both Leuven residents and students and visitors.

The main entrance is step-free and wide enough for a wheelchair. The dining room on the ground floor has a relatively compact layout, but with a reservation a well-accessible table is reserved and the arrangement adjusted. The adapted toilet is functional but not spacious - for larger electric wheelchairs the turning circle can feel tight. A first floor is only reachable by stairs.

The restaurant is located in the low-traffic city centre of Leuven; the Ladeuze Car Park or Grote Markt Car Park are both five minutes away by wheelchair and offer reserved spaces and lifts. From Leuven Station it is fifteen minutes away by wheelchair via the Bondgenotenlaan, which is completely step-free and level.
