'T Eethuisje in Genk is a cosy family restaurant that has for generations held on to a friendly Belgian kitchen with dishes such as shrimp croquettes, stewed beef with chips and seasonal game. The interior breathes warmth and homeliness with wooden beams, an open fire and comfortable seating.

The restaurant is fully accessible. The main entrance has a wide sliding door with no threshold, and the dining room is on one level with comfortable paths between the tables. Staff actively help in choosing a suitable table for wheelchair users and, on request, remove a side chair so that the wheelchair can roll up to the table without any extra effort. The adapted toilet has an automatic door, grab rails and a full turning circle.

The restaurant's own car park has reserved adapted spaces close to the entrance. Genk is well reachable via the E314, and the restaurant is close to main roads towards Hasselt and Maasmechelen. The nearby bus stops have lowered platforms and a level route to the restaurant.
