Bastogne War Museum
The Bastogne War Museum is a modern and impressive museum dedicated to the Second World War, with a particular focus on the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944. Located next to the iconic Mardasson Memorial in Bastogne, which commemorates the American soldiers who fell during the Ardennes Offensive, the museum portrays the human impact of the war in a gripping way through interactive scenography, personal testimonies and authentic artefacts.
The museum is fully accessible for wheelchair users. All exhibition spaces are on a single level or can be reached by lift and ramps. The wide corridors and open layouts provide ample room to manoeuvre. Adapted toilets are available. The audio guides and multimedia presentations are designed to be fully experienced from a seated position.
The museum has a spacious car park with sufficient PMR spaces close to the entrance. The Mardasson Memorial can be reached via a short paved path. Bastogne is accessible via the E25 and lies approximately two hours' drive from Brussels. The museum is open year-round and makes an excellent combination with a visit to the town of Bastogne and the surrounding Ardennes countryside.
