The Bibliothèque publique of Herstal is a modern municipal facility with an extensive French-language collection of books, comics, magazines, films and digital resources. There is a separate youth section, workstations with internet access and regular activities such as reading clubs, author talks and workshops for young and old. The library works closely with schools and associations from the wider Liège region.

The library is easily accessible for wheelchair users. The entrance is step-free and the aisles between the shelves are wide. A lift connects the floors so all collections are reachable. An accessible toilet is available and staff are happy to help with reaching books on higher shelves.

Reserved parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity. The library lies centrally in Herstal, near the main shopping streets. Consider combining your visit with the Hôtel de Ville within walking distance or the Parc de Herstal for a half day in Herstal.
