Blue-bike Antwerp Central
Blue-bike has a large rental point in the bicycle car park beneath Antwerp Central station. With a Blue-bike card you can rent a classic city bike twenty-four hours a day for short trips around the city. For anyone wanting to cover the last few kilometres from the train or the premetro, it is a convenient option. There is also a staffed service point with a technician for small repairs or to change a booking.
The underground bicycle car park is fully barrier-free and reachable via wide lifts from the station forecourt, the platforms and the premetro. The walkways are wide enough for wheelchair users or carers accompanying someone. The Blue-bike column itself does not require fine motor skills; anyone who cannot easily use the card can ask the staff for help. The Blue-bike city bikes are not adapted for wheelchair users, but the station does offer a Fietspunt with duo-bikes on request.
The station is equipped with accessible toilets, lifts to all platforms and tactile guide lines. Since the recent redesign the station forecourt is fully paved and level, with direct connections to low-floor trams and buses. For people with reduced mobility arriving by car, the underground Q-Park car park has a limited number of reserved accessible spaces.
