Côte d'Or, founded in 1883, is the most iconic Belgian chocolate brand with its distinctive elephant logo, referring to the Gold Coast (Côte d'Or) where the cocoa originally came from. In Halle, where the main factory is located, the visitor centre organises group visits at selected times, covering the history of the brand, the chocolate production process and the unique taste of Côte d'Or bars, including a tasting of various chocolate varieties.

The modern visitor facilities are well suited to wheelchair users. The entrance is level, the reception area and presentation room are step-free and the tour route through the accessible parts of the factory is on the ground floor. Safety clothing is provided on site. An accessible toilet is available. The production areas themselves are laid out spaciously with wide corridors.

There is ample parking on site with accessible spaces close to the entrance. Halle lies south of Brussels, reachable via the E429/A8 or by train (Halle station, 10 minutes away). Visits are only by reservation and in organised group formats; contact in advance to discuss accessibility and any possible adaptations.
