De Casino Sint-Niklaas
De Casino in Sint-Niklaas is one of the best-known cultural meeting places in the Waasland region. The building, which takes its name from the original nineteenth-century society building, has been thoroughly renovated and expanded and today houses a modern theatre hall, a large concert hall and various meeting rooms. De Casino programmes a varied offering of theatre, dance, classical and contemporary music, lectures and children's performances, and is the beating heart of cultural life in Sint-Niklaas.
Accessibility was carefully addressed during the renovation. The main entrance is on the ground floor with automatic doors, and all halls are reachable by lift. Wheelchair spaces are provided in the halls with a clear view of the stage. Adapted toilets are available on every level. The foyer and cafeteria are wheelchair friendly with lower counters and space between the tables. Reserve your adapted spot in advance at the ticket desk.
Parking is possible at the nearby Stationsplein car park or in the underground car park with disabled spaces. Sint-Niklaas station is a few minutes' walk away and has a lift. The surroundings are fully paved and flat, and adapted cycle routes and footpaths lead to De Casino from the city centre.
