Brasserie Stadius Sint-Niklaas

Brasserie Stadius is a popular meeting place on the Grote Markt of Sint-Niklaas, the largest market square in Belgium. The brasserie offers an extensive menu with classics such as beef stew, mussels, veal medallions and homemade shrimp croquettes. The wine list and beer selection are thoughtfully curated. In summer, the spacious terrace on the Grote Markt is an ideal place to watch the city's bustle with a drink or meal.

The entrance is barrier-free via a lowered kerb. The large dining room on the ground floor has wide passageways between the tables, and staff are happy to move chairs to make space for a wheelchair. The adapted toilet is on the ground floor and equipped with grab bars, a lowered washbasin and ample manoeuvring space. Reservation is recommended, especially at weekends.

Parking is best done at Parking Stationsstraat or Parking Grote Markt, both with disabled spaces and short walking distances via mostly flat pavements. The Grote Markt itself has some cobbled sections; ask when reserving for a terrace near the flat areas. Combine your visit with a walk through the City Park or an evening at CC Kasteel Walburg.
