De Zwaluwennest is a city farm and educational nature area in the south of Antwerp, set in the green part of Wilrijk. The site is a popular family outing with sheep, goats, rabbits and chickens that children can discover up close. Alongside the farmyard is an educational vegetable garden, a herb spiral and a resting area where visitors can picnic.

The site has been deliberately designed to be accessible. The main paths around the animal enclosures are paved with concrete and flat, so wheelchair users and people using rollators can visit every area without difficulty. The aviaries and animal enclosures have approach areas that allow contact with the animals from wheelchair height. An accessible toilet with support bars and a lowered washbasin is provided at the reception. The educational classroom is barrier-free and is also used for accessible workshops.

The car park at De Zwaluwennest is paved with reserved spaces right next to the entrance. The farm is a few minutes from tram line 4 and bus line 22. Combine your outing with a walk through the adjacent accessible Park Den Brandt or with a visit to the nearby Fort VII in Wilrijk, a partially accessible military heritage site. Admission to the city farm is free.
