The Jane is one of Belgium's most iconic restaurants, housed in a spectacularly restored military chapel at the Groen Kwartier in Antwerp. Under the leadership of Sergio Herman and Nick Bril, the former hospital chapel was transformed into a culinary temple with soaring vaults, modern stained glass and an open kitchen in the altar. The restaurant holds two Michelin stars and serves creative menus in which flavour, texture and presentation come together in a unique experience.

Accessibility is excellent because the building has been thoroughly renovated. The main entrance is completely step-free and wide enough for all types of wheelchair. The spacious central dining room offers plenty of manoeuvring space between the tables, and on request, staff will reserve a spot with good sightlines onto the open kitchen. There is an adapted toilet on the ground floor, equipped with grab rails and plenty of turning space. Reservations are mandatory and highly recommended well in advance.

The Jane is located in the low-traffic Groen Kwartier, a new urban neighbourhood on the site of the former military hospital. The paths in the district are smooth, paved and completely level. A few adapted parking spaces are available right in front of the door. By public transport the restaurant can be reached by tram 9 or bus 32 towards Berchem station, and from the stop it is a few minutes' roll over a step-free pavement.
