K in Kortrijk
K in Kortrijk is the leading shopping centre of southern West Flanders and an architecturally striking complex in the heart of Kortrijk. Designed by the team of Robbrecht en Daem and opened in 2008, it is home to more than a hundred shops, including major international chains. The building is linked to Kortrijk's historic shopping streets.
The shopping centre is fully wheelchair-accessible. Spacious lifts and escalators connect the three floors, and the corridors are wide and step-free. Adapted toilets are available on every floor. A wheelchair can be borrowed free of charge at the ground-floor reception desk. Tactile guidelines and high-contrast markings also help blind and visually impaired visitors to find their way.
The underground car park of K in Kortrijk has more than a thousand spaces, including spacious reduced-mobility spaces close to the lifts. The station square and the nearby bus stops are also accessible. A visit combines perfectly with a stroll to the Grote Markt, the belfry and the Broel Bridge, all within walking distance.
