Castle d'Ursel in Hingene (Bornem) is an elegant 18th-century water castle located on the banks of the river Scheldt. The castle, designed by Giovanni Niccolo Servandoni, is surrounded by a beautiful provincial green domain of over 100 hectares with walking paths, ponds and ancient tree groves. The castle and domain are owned by the Province of Antwerp and offer a unique combination of heritage and nature.

Wheelchair accessibility is partial. The park around the castle has paved and semi-paved walking paths that are largely suitable for wheelchairs. The ground floor of the castle is accessible, but the upper floors are not wheelchair accessible due to historic staircases. Adapted toilets are available at the visitor centre. The car park is located close to the entrance and has reserved spaces for visitors with disabilities.

The domain around Castle d'Ursel is free to enter year-round for walkers. The castle itself is open to visitors on certain days and exhibitions and events are regularly organised. The domain is an ideal destination for a peaceful walk in green surroundings, a short distance from Antwerp and Bornem. Combine your visit with a cycling tour along the Scheldt for a complete day out.
