Lac de Butgenbach is a large reservoir in the Belgian East Cantons, located next to the Worriken sports centre. The lake is surrounded by a landscaped walking promenade and offers opportunities for walking, water sports, fishing and cycling. Thanks to its open setting on the Butgenbach plateau, visitors enjoy wide views over the water and the surrounding hills.

The promenade on the south side is broad and smoothly paved, making it very suitable for wheelchair users. A loop of several kilometres takes visitors along the lake on flat paths, with benches and viewpoints at regular intervals. Elevation differences are minimal, and accessible toilets and dining are available at the Worriken visitor centre.

A spacious car park with disabled parking spaces lies next to Worriken and gives barrier-free access to the lake and promenade. Adapted water equipment for people with reduced mobility can be requested at the sports centre. Lac de Butgenbach is highly recommended for those seeking a combination of nature, water and good accessibility in the East Cantons.
