Lac de Robertville
Lac de Robertville is a picturesque reservoir in the municipality of Waimes, in the heart of the High Fens-Eifel nature park. The lake lies in a rolling Ardennes landscape surrounded by forest and viewpoints. The famous viewing spot near the Reinhardstein castle and the circular path around the lake make it a popular destination for nature lovers.
Accessibility is partial. The area near the beach and the eastern promenade is paved and easily usable for wheelchair users and rollator walkers. An accessible toilet is available at the beach pavilion during the season. Further around the lake the paths become narrower and include slopes and unpaved sections, so assistance is recommended for the full loop.
On the north shore there is a spacious car park with disabled parking spaces, a short distance from the accessible promenade. Accessible cafes and restaurants can be found in the nearby village of Robertville. A visit to Lac de Robertville is especially worthwhile in clear weather, when the views over the water and the surrounding hills are at their most beautiful.
