Magritte Museum Brussels Wheelchair Accessible
The Magritte Museum, part of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, holds the world's largest collection of works by the Belgian surrealist René Magritte. It is housed in the neoclassical Hôtel du Lotto on the Place Royale, at the heart of the Mont des Arts. Spread across three floors, over two hundred paintings, gouaches, drawings, sculptures and painted objects are on display, complemented by photographs, films and archival documents that illuminate Magritte's life and work.
The museum is fully wheelchair accessible. Lifts connect all exhibition floors and the spaces are wide enough to navigate comfortably in a wheelchair. A wheelchair can be borrowed at the information desk, subject to availability. Adapted restrooms are available. Visitors with a disability benefit from a reduced admission fee. The museum also offers provisions for blind and visually impaired visitors, including tactile materials and audio descriptions.
The Magritte Museum is located on the Mont des Arts, just a short walk from Brussels-Central station. The metro stations Gare Centrale, Parc and Centraal Station are within walking distance and all have lifts. Reserved accessible parking spaces are available nearby. A visit combines well with the other Royal Museums of Fine Arts, the BELvue Museum or the adjacent Brussels Park.
