Nautica is the municipal swimming pool of Beerse, a modern complex with a 25-metre sports pool, an instruction pool and a children's pool. The facility was recently built and caters to both sporty users and families. Thanks to its climate-friendly design choices, the generous natural light and the open experience around the pool, it is a popular sports centre in the Turnhout region.

Nautica was designed with accessibility as a core principle. The main entrance, reception and corridors are barrier-free. There are fully adapted changing rooms with wide doors, a fold-down seat, grab rails and an adapted shower. The pool lift at the main pool brings users safely from the pool edge into the water. Sanitary facilities on the pool deck meet PRM standards, with extra space for companions. An adapted transfer wheelchair is available at reception.

The car park in front of Nautica is paved and offers several reserved spaces right next to the entrance. Public transport via bus line 435 from Turnhout stops in front of the building. Combine your swim with a walk in the accessible park around the Beerse cultural centre or a terrace in the village centre. Nautica is a good example of how modern sports infrastructure can be rolled out accessibly in Flanders.
