Aquatopia Antwerp
Aquatopia is an indoor aquarium and experience museum on the Astridplein in Antwerp, right next to the central station and Antwerp Zoo. Visitors follow a route through different biotopes home to more than two hundred animal species, from seahorses to sharks. The combination of decor, interactive elements and large panoramic windows makes it a popular family attraction.
The entire route is designed to be barrier-free and equipped with lifts wherever there are level differences. The corridors are spacious, the floor is consistently smooth, and seating areas are provided in several places. Accessible toilets are available on the ground floor. The entrance is reached at street level without stairs, and wheelchair users can follow the entire route independently.
Beneath the building is a large public car park with disabled parking spaces and a lift to street level. Antwerp Central Station and the tram stops on Astridplein are just a few minutes wheelchair distance away. Thanks to its central location and good accessibility, Aquatopia is a reliable choice for a day out in Antwerp.
