Le PASS - Science Park Frameries
Le PASS (Parc d'Aventures Scientifiques) is an interactive science park located on the former Crachet-Picquery mining site in Frameries, near Mons. The park combines science, technology and fun in a unique setting where the industrial mining architecture has been transformed into a modern science centre. Visitors can explore numerous interactive exhibitions, conduct scientific experiments and discover the extensive outdoor spaces.
Accessibility at Le PASS is excellent. The park was designed from the outset with visitors with reduced mobility in mind. All exhibition spaces are accessible via lifts and ramps. The outdoor paths are paved and wide enough for wheelchairs. Spacious designated accessible parking, adapted toilets at multiple locations and wheelchairs available at reception complete the facilities. The interactive displays are positioned at varying heights so they can be operated from a wheelchair.
Le PASS is located at Rue de Mons 3 in Frameries and is easily reached from Mons and the E19/E42. The park offers a restaurant, a picnic area and a playground. Thematic exhibitions and events are regularly organised to make science accessible to all ages. A visit can be combined with a trip to the centre of Mons, the Mundaneum or the BAM museum.
