♿ Wheelchair accessible

Signal de Botrange, at 694 metres, is the highest point in Belgium, located in the High Fens-Eifel Nature Park. The Botrange Nature Centre offers exhibitions on the unique fauna and flora of the peat bog landscape, interactive scale models and informative films. Various walking routes through the protected nature reserve depart from the centre.

The Nature Centre is fully wheelchair accessible with a lift, wide passageways and adapted toilets. The permanent exhibition on the first floor can be reached by lift. From the centre, an adapted boardwalk of approximately 500 metres leads wheelchair users through the peat bog. The other walking paths are largely unpaved and less suitable for wheelchairs due to the hilly terrain.

There is ample parking with accessible spaces right next to the centre. The ground-floor restaurant is accessible. The Butte de Botrange, an artificial mound that raises the point to exactly 700 metres, can only be reached by stairs and is therefore not wheelchair accessible.
