Brasserie Grenzland in the centre of Eupen reflects the unique multilingual and cross-border identity of the German-speaking community of Belgium. The kitchen combines Belgian classics such as beef stew and mussels with German specialities such as Reibekuchen and sauerkraut. The beer list is extensive, with regional beers from the East Cantons, Belgian Trappists and German Pilsners.

The brasserie was renovated in 2021 with attention to accessibility. The main entrance on the Werthplatz is step-free thanks to a gentle slope. The spacious dining room on the ground floor has plenty of distance between the tables for wheelchair users. There is a lowered section at the bar for those who want to sit at the bar. An accessible toilet with grab rails and turning circle is located beside the dining room.

The terrace on the Werthplatz can be reached via a level transition and has a flat wooden floor in the summer season. Parking in the immediate area is challenging; the underground car park on the Marktplaatz is a good option, with an accessible lift to street level and disabled spaces. The brasserie is a few metres from the lovely Saint Nicholas Church and the Stadtmuseum Eupen.

Brasserie Grenzland is an ideal stop during a day in Eupen. The price range is mid-range and the staff are happy to serve you in German, French, Dutch and English. Combine lunch with a walk through the centre and a visit to the Stadtpark Eupen or the Parc Saroleastraat Eupen. Booking is recommended at weekends and during the summer.
