Brasserie Le Thier a Liege
Brasserie Le Thier a Liege is a classic Liege brasserie in the heart of the city centre, near Place Saint-Lambert and the Vinave d'Ile. The name refers to the Walloon word for slope and is a nod to the hilly city of Liege. The menu is distinctly regional: boudin de Liege, salade liegeoise, mince a la liegeoise and chips with the typical local stew sauce, all accompanied by regional beers and peket.
The brasserie is fully step-free. The main entrance has a flush threshold and an automatic door. The spacious art-nouveau dining room is entirely at ground level with sufficient room between the tables and a central counter that leaves enough passage. An adapted toilet with grab bars, alarm cord and a low washbasin is located in the hallway at the rear of the establishment.
In the immediate vicinity, adapted parking spaces are available on the Place Saint-Lambert, and the underground car park beneath the square also has adapted spaces with lift access. The pedestrian zones in the centre of Liege are largely paved. The brasserie staff are happy to share tips on accessible places nearby.
