Park Ten Bos Playground Lebbeke
The playground in Park Ten Bos in Lebbeke is a beloved outing for families from across the region. The park combines open meadows, old beech trees and a pond with a well-maintained play area. In recent years the municipality has invested in inclusive play equipment, allowing children with and without disabilities to play together. A wheelchair swing, a ground-level trampoline and low sandboxes with edge access mean that children using a wheelchair can also actively join in.
Accessibility on the site is good. The main paths through the park are paved with asphalt or sturdy clinker, and the paths between the play equipment itself are level and barrier-free. The sand area around the equipment is partly finished with a rubber impact mat, so wheelchairs can roll over it. Accessible toilets are available at the park entrance in the adjoining service building, and benches are placed at regular intervals.
Park Ten Bos has a spacious car park with accessible spaces close to the entrance. The park is free of charge and open all year round. On sunny weekend days the playground area can be busy, but the shaded walking paths through the wood remain pleasant. Lebbeke is a stone's throw from Dendermonde and Aalst, making it easy to combine with other accessible outings in the region.
