The Maria-Hendrikapark is Ostend's largest city park, also known as the "Forest of Ostend". This extensive green area features several ponds, old trees, picnic spots, a children's farm and many walking routes. The park is a favourite place to relax for residents and tourists alike, and offers a quiet counterpart to the lively seafront.

The main paths through the park are paved and level, so it is largely accessible for wheelchair users and people with rollators. Along the ponds and central routes there are plenty of benches. An accessible toilet is provided in the park, for instance at the café and the children's farm. Level changes are limited.

The park has parking with reserved spaces for people with reduced mobility. It is easily reached from the city centre and by public transport. A visit can be combined with a stroll on the beach or a stop at the city library.
